Whether you’re upgrading your appliances or starting your smart home journey, this opens up a world of possibilities.
🔗 Advanced Matter Bridging Is Here
Our Matter Controllers (like the M2, M3, and hubs built into products like the Camera Hub G3 and G4) now support Advanced Matter Bridging. But what does that actually mean?
In short:
You can now bring Aqara’s powerful smart features—like AI-powered motion and gesture detection, energy monitoring, and real-time triggers and automations—into third-party Matter ecosystems like:
-
Apple Home
-
Google Home
-
Amazon Alexa
-
Samsung SmartThings
- Home Assistant
So, your Aqara Motion Sensor P1 or FP2 – previously exclusive to the Aqara ecosystem — fall detection or even on-device AI detection in Aqara cameras can now trigger lights in Google Home. Your energy data from the Aqara Smart Plug can show up in Apple Home. It’s all about freedom, flexibility, and getting more out of your devices.
The Advanced Matter Bridging feature is available across Aqara’s current lineup of Matter Controllers and bridges through firmware version 4.3.4. To access this feature, Aqara Home version 5.1.4 or newer is required.
🌍 One Ecosystem? No Thanks.
With Matter and our advanced bridging in place, you’re no longer locked into a single platform. Aqara gives you the freedom to build the smart home you want – whether you’re all-in on Apple, prefer Google, mix with Alexa, or use SmartThings.
No more starting over when you switch apps. No more worrying if your gear will work together. Just smooth, cross-platform compatibility.
When Can You Try It?
The firmware 4.3.5 and Aqara Home app 5.1.9 updates are rolling out this month. Make sure your hubs are updated to unlock these new features.
The Smart Home, Reinvented
This is more than just an update—it’s a big step towards a smarter, more unified future for your home. Whether you’re deep into automation or just getting started, Aqara’s Matter support and advanced bridging let you build a connected setup that truly works for you.
Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, thanks for choosing Aqara.
