Is the 30-day self-check reminder enabled by default, and how can it be turned off?
The self-check feature is enabled by default and cannot be turned off. The self-check reminder is designed to ensure the device is always in working condition and operating normally. If there are minor leaks or rust on the water valve, not operating the valve for a long time may cause it to become stuck. If the controller is not installed correctly, it may detach from the rotating arm during operation, making it unable to close the valve in special situations. Therefore, it is recommended that users perform a self-check once a month. During the self-check, users should be present to observe the valve’s operation and promptly address any issues to ensure the device can handle emergencies effectively.
Can the Aqara Valve Controller T1 be automated with sensors from other brands?
Yes. The Aqara Valve Controller T1 supports integrations with Matter via a compatible Aqara hub, and is compatible with other third-party ecosystems such as Apple Home, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant, and IFTTT.
